Ice Cream Social

My little pumpkin had a great time with her Grandmother yesterday.  Grandma took her to the ice cream social at school.  They had to dress alike and since Grandma couldn't find a red shirt for her doll she stayed up crocheting one.  She is such a lucky little girl.  She won two prizes.

1st Day of 1st Grade

  

So today is the first day of school for the kids and of course we couldn't even get them there on time.  In all fairness they have to be at school an hour earlier this year.

Nicole also lost another tooth last night.  This was her 5th.

Prepping for 1st grade

We have been talking to the kids about school.  You know, prepairing them for getting up early and doing the count down until school starts next week. 
This mornig Michael was telling about the robot he was designing to go to school for him and how the robot was going to pick up his math homework and bring it home so he could do his work at home.  He was also designing a robot to shoot fire at his teacher if he didn't like her.  I have to laugh at this because this shows how well he listens to me.  I asked him if he knew who his teacher was.  When he said he didn't, I told him her name.  He did not recognize her name at all.  Then he asked me if she was nice?  I told him he will find out in a couple of days.  I'm just wondering how long it will take him to realize that his Aunt is his teacher and not just a classroom helper.

Michaels homework

Got any ideas???  I'm sure it has to do with weather, but what is he supposed to do with it?  When I asked him he said I don't know, just like a typical boy.  I could probably come up with something myself but it annoys me that half of the time is homework has no directions on them.  So mommy is giving him a pass to not do his homework today.

Nicole got to have lunch with the principal today.  She was so excite when they announced her name on the loud speaker.

School time

I just registered the kids for kindergarten.  I'm going to cry!  We still have a few more months yet but it is going to go so fast.
