Kids Birthday Party

We had some family and friends over for the kids birthday.  I was told by my son that we had to have a party.  He listed everyone who was to be invited.  Nicole dictated how the day would play out.  They had to wake up to balloons everywhere.  There was lots of demands.  Several times during the past week I have been uninvited to the party mostly because I wouldn't let Moe have ice cream for breakfast.

St Patricks Day 2005

Oh, boy the kids turn 5 today. We didn't do anything special because we are having a party for them on Saturday. The party was planned by the kids and they made a list of the things I have to have. I was uninvited many times. Boy that Mo gets made when I don’t let him have ice cream for breakfast.

Five year check up

Yesterday the kids had their five year check up and shots. Oh boy! I can't believe they turn five tomorrow. My little leprechauns turn FIVE! Any way we got into the doctors office and we had been sitting in the room for a while and the kids started to get antsy when I hear the doctor yell out to the front desk from the room next to us "Call 911". The little boy next to us passed out. They had two police cars an emt unit and two ambulances show up. After the doctor came in to see us she said that he will be fine but I couldn't get anything other info out of her. So now she's sitting with my kids preparing to give them shots and I'm wondering if she did something wrong. Should I make another appointment with different doctor?

Um OK! So, things go well with Coles shots. She cried but it wasn't to bad. I was getting her dressed when Moe realized it was his turn and ran from the exam room screaming. I ran after him and caught him in the waiting room. I turn around and Cole is standing behind me half dressed with her hands over her ears. I get Moe back in the room and he scrambles under the exam table and wrapped him arms and legs around the leg of the table. Never once did he stop screaming. My poor baby! What could I do to get him out? - I started bribing him. I promised him lollipops, told him we would go get him some more goldfish.

I'm surprised that nobody ran from the waiting room. One boy goes out on a stretcher, another screaming at the top of his lungs. And Moe being so melodramatic insisted that he lost all use of his arms.

On the way home we stopped by the pet store. I woke up this morning to a fish tank full of dead fish. Not one of them lived and even the fish that we've had for a while had died.  WTF?

Storm Destruction

We had a whopping storm here the day before yesterday. We lost power for several hours. We made out pretty well compared to some of our neighbors. Ed started up our generator and hooked up our pump and Aunt Ginnys next door . We had so much water in our yard it just poured through our basement window and the onion bulbs I planted were floating The kids playroom got about 2 inches in the lowest part of our basement. They lost about three garbage bags of toys. It's definitely one way to thin out their toys. Thats what they get for putting off cleaning up the their toys. We also lost another one of our desktop computers. The thing was about ten years old, so it was only a matter of time. Here is picture from down town. We saw several trees down when we finally ventured out. There was even pumper trucks from the fire dept pumping out some basements for people that still didn't have power.

Another Famous Cole Sandwich

I don't know if you know but my daughter has a thing for sandwiches.  She has been asking me to make this sandwich for her for over a week.  I haven't because I figured she would hate it and I hate waiting food.  I really HATE wasting food.  OK so she decided she would make it herself.  She used my extra large homemade bread, grape jelly and lettuce.  Let me tell you she ate the whole thing.  Daddy tried to get her to make me one too.  Thank goodness it took her so long to eat it that she forgot all about making me one.
