I'm living out of a plastic garbage bag

Every thing we own is in plastic. Those large black garbage bags are my fanciest of luggage right now. We have been dismantling everything in the house and I mean everything. We passed our electric and plumbing inspections this past week. Monday we have our framing and fire inspections. Wednesday they are spraying the closed cell insulation. I'm excited! This time when we get the kitchen cabinets back on the wall that is where they are going to stay! I'm never taking those things out again.

I still haven't gotten my car back from the auto body shop. I miss my baby. It took a long time to get my seat shaped perfectly for my big butt. For some reason it took forever to OK the $1500 additional work (bent axle) that was needed. I did get a call from my insurance company that the other woman took full responsibility for the accident so that was nice.

Some more good news my husband came home with a new camera for me on Valentines Day. YAY! Ah, it feels so good to have a camera again. I love it! Love it!!!! I have been going crazy taking pictures of the kids. So look for lots of pictures soon....

Geocaching in Hartshorne Woods

After working on our house we took a break on Sunday and headed to Hartshorne Woods Park. Such a beautiful park. We completed 5 out of the 6 caches we set out to do. Not bad. Aunt Nancy, Uncle Ray and the boys joined us. I was very surprised that the little ones lasted as long as they did. I think we spent at least 2 1/2 -3 hours hiking with just a few small stops. I had taken my nephews camera with me, but of course I forgot to check to see if the battery was charged. That left me with just my camera phone. Uncle Ray videoed us climbing down this really steep trail down to the water. I couldn't wait to see what a bunch of goofball we looked like. I went to download the pictures and video he took and the disk was no good. Ugh! So you'll just have to trust me the views are just amazing. We'll have to go back again to make that last cache and take some pictures.

I should note that we have been to the park before (The other side). The last time we got so lost. This time I printed out my own map for the park with the trails so we would know the way out.

Cooling Off

Seriously what do you do when it so frickin hot out and you have no AC. I tried to stay at the library but we had to leave when Moe started throwing a major temper tantrum. Another day we spent all day at the mall. My first time there in over six months and it's pretty much within walking distance. I really hate that place now!
According to weather.com it felt like 102. Let me tell you it felt hotter that that. I think we had ice cream for lunch for 4 days straight. I'm such a bad mommy!
I love the looks on their faces. It would be a cute picture if it wasn't for the dumpster and the construction debris in the background. I finally broke down and bought a kiddie pool. The only reason it took me so long was we really didn't have a safe place to put it.

So I was enjoying myself taking a break from the construction and watching the kids play, when I got this picture and more pictures just like it. Oh crap, crap crap!!!! So after research the computer to find what the heck happend, I found out that my sub mirror was stuck. Once I unstuck the mirror a plastic pin inside broke as well as the auto focus feature. I also found out that it a common thing on the Canon Rebel. and cost around $200 to fix. At this point I've put too much money into my camera for what it's worth. So I have a choice to not take picture until I can save up enough cash to buy a new camera, or try and fix it myself.
This is what I see in my future as well as a few more tears.
