Ouch!

I just had my first bike ride in like 15 years.  I think its been that long.  It sure feels like its been that long.  I should have walked.  The kids have been begging me to let them ride their bikes to school.  It's been too cold and they have not been to school on time for the last month.  OK they haven't been marked late -YET.  They also have only been on their bikes in the house, maybe outside a couple of times.  Nicole hasn't been on her bike outside since she broke her arm. 
So, we have been practicing riding to school.  Yesterday they got half way and then I had to push their bikes.  I don't know what would make me think riding along on Eds bike would be more fun.  First off the seat is like four inches to tall for me and with the kids there was a lot of stopping and starting.   I guess I need some practice too.

Makinging my own checker set

I have been digging in to my husbands left overs again.

I want to add a small 1/2" frame around the sides and then shellac it.  I'll have to wait until he can rip some of the lumber down for me.  I have used the table saw before but anything smaller than 3" just freaks me out.

I have a few boards cut down to the same size.  I want to make a few more games.  I just have to figure out which ones I want to make.

sickly

An ugly sickness has be swarming our house since we returned from vacation.  It just keeps going around and around.  Ed got hit the hardest when we first got back and he is down again.  yuck! 

Special delivery from Aunt Sue

We got a box in the mail yesterday from Aunt Sue.  She made some clothes for Nicoles doll.  Michael decided he was going to claim a pair of the pants for his ducky.  He now has a list of the clothes he wants ducky to have.  First on his list is a pair of pants in yellow and he wants me to make him a collar.
