What a Day

I am so glad today is over! It's 11pm and I'm still in my PJ's from yesterday. Michael helped Uncle Ken and Daddy replace the brakes on my car. He came home and passed out. He was really cute he had grease on his nose. I had Nicole to myself, for a few hours it was nice.

Then WOW -I don't know what happened. Nicole went through two bottles of Palmolive today. How?? I don't know. She broke the tops off of them and just poured it out all over the place. I had to put the kitchen chairs down in the basement. They now move the chairs around and Attack all the new stuff they can reach. Attack is the only way to describe it.

Here are some pictures from Saturday. We had a nice time at B&N story time. Michael loves Maisey. He was all over the little stage and climbing on everything.

We got to meet some of the other people in the playtime group we just joined.

We picked up a new bedtime book. It's called Moonbeam Bear. Michael is obsessed with moons. It's about Moonbeam Bear who loves to watch the moon. One night he uses a lasso to pull the moon out of the night sky. He takes the moon home with him and the two become best friends. When the other animals realize that the moon is missing they set out to solve the mystery, and put the moon back.
I also added a new kids gallery 07 :)

my little doodler

I was drawing with one of the kids manga doodles. I like drawing images and the little ones guess what it is. I feel very proud when they guess correctly or they make the correct animal sounds. I was drawing a face and Michael was pointing to the eyes, nose, etc. Nicole was sitting very quietly next to me when I looked over at what she was drawing. She was copying what I was doing.
So far everything has been scribbles. This was the first time I was able to recognize what she drew. Of course I had to take a picture. I'm so proud of her!! :)

Craft Day

Today we painted with finger paint for the first time. They've painted with yogurt and pudding before, but today it was with real paint. I have to admit, I expected them to try and eat the paint. I guess it just doesn't smell good enough to eat, they didn't even try it.

Nicole loves to draw paint and any thing creative. Michael did one painting and that was enough. He couldn't sit still any longer. Nicole sat for a good half hour at least. She kept on asking for more paper. Here are some pictures from this morning. You can see their paintings in the kids gallery 06.
Oh, and yes Michael had another black eye.

After they finished painting, I let them play with their flash cards. Nicole still won't say "DOG" of "CAT", but she does woof and meow.

Michael loves to open, close, put things in and dump things out. Here he is putting the flash cards back into the box. As he puts a card in he says - Bye frog, bye truck etc.

And here Nicole is sharing here flash cards with Nigel.

No Camera

No Camera! What am I going to do?? I feel naked without it. My DH is on the way to Canon to see if can be repaired. I'm sure it can, but how much is it going to cost? Yikes! Sometimes I could get one picture out of it before it err 99 again. I'm tried everything. I've searched all the web pages I could -to find a fix. Ugh, I feel like crying! Hopefully it it will be an easy fix and he'll bring my baby home to me today. :) We have a new set of twins coming into the family next week. I have to have her back before they get here.
I've been using a camera my husband found at work for the last week. I've gone through so many batteries, it's crazy! I get - no lie 15 or less images to a set of batteries.
Well, pray for me and my beloved camera!

Happy Valentines Day

Well, it will be Valentines Day in a few minutes. For Valentines Days , Nana sent the twins a box of Bob the Builder (Did you know Bob is a twin? He has a twin named Tom) Valentines. They babies had fun scribbling all over them. Daddy made them a mail box. They spent a full day putting them in and taking them out. Mommy was HAPPY! Until they shredded them. We did a lot of valentine coloring pages this past week. We also made heart shaped jello jigglers.
We even made some Valentines Day cards. It would have been nice if we got them out in the mail.
I just finished cutting out heart shaped felt and I figured we will do the five little valentines poem.
Five Little Valentines
One little valentine said, “I Love You”
Mommy made another, then there was two
Two little valentines, one for you,one for me.
Daddy made another, then there were three.
Three little valentines said “We need one more”
Michael made another one, then there was four.
Four little valentines, one more to arrive.
Nicole made another then there were five.
Five little valentines, all ready to say.
“Be My Valentine on this Special Day”
I was also planning on making valentine themed memory cards, but my printer is out of ink. I guess we'll just make cookies. Maybe we'll even get to play in the snow.
PS my DH never made it to the Canon repair center. Boo hoo!

Crazy Hats

Nana sends us the best hats. The kids love wearing them all the time.

This was dinner yesterday. Just a simple dinner of pizza and fruit. Everyone was sitting at the table wearing silly hats so I had to join in. I'm hoping that is a kids hat I'm wearing, if not I have a really big head. The little ones had a great time. Daddy tried speaking with silly accents the whole time. He always ends up sounding like an Irish pirate. It's quite cute.
