Has it finally happened...

Is spring finally here? I can't believe it. I thought it would never come. Harley was so happy she got to play next door at Aunt Ginny's. She was like a little puppy again. Aren't they cute? For a large dog she is good with the kids.

Rain Rain Go AWAY!!!

This was our back yard this weekend. We had seven pumps going trying to keep the water out of the addition. As you can see it wasn't really making a dent. He spent so much time out there trying to save everything. The house behind us sits up higher and all the water runs right into our basement. We have the crappiest soil, too. It's clay and it takes days to dry out. Before he can do anything with it, it will rain again.
Michael saw the backyard and said "Oh, beach swim, swim swim."
While Daddy was saving us from floating away, We decided to put up the tent in the living room and watch the rain out the front window. I tried to read a book. Nicole pulls the books away and saying "No weed, Mommy, No" but she'll sit and look through the books herself. I guess they don't like my voice. Michael doesn't want me to sing anymore. My computer time has come to an end. Nicole waking up.

Colour

I just love the color of this shot.
I can't sleep. My mind is racing with all the things I have to do, but my body is shot. I'm going to have to crawl to bed.

Times like this

"Times like this make me happy that I couldn't afford nice carpet. " Said Amber from one of my yahoo group.
It is sooooo true. I've never been Happier that I couldn't afford carpet. If I could afford carpeting, I don't think we would have days like this....

I'm happy my kids just love sand. When it's beautiful out we head to the beach. Walk the boardwalk, chase the seagulls and just dig in the sand.
On nice days that I'm lazy we just head out to our front yard. (For those that have not seen our front yard we have a lovely sand pile and stone pile, while daddy is redoing our foundation. Not a spot of grass anywhere to be seen.)

When it's a not so nice day, like today. Or I am really really lazy, we bring the sand inside. These are the days that I hope they remember. And if they don't, hey I have the photos to show them.
