Sewing a green monster stuffy

Aunt Meg stopped by with a large bag of craft supplies. Nicole got right to work.  The first thing she mad was this monster stuffy.  She did most of the work herself.  She had a hard time cutting through both pieces of material at the same time, so I did that for her.  Then she had a hard time lining up the button holes to sew the eyes on, but other than that she did the whole thing herself.

Disgusting

I am so grossed out right now. One of the kids cups fell apart in the dishwasher. We have at least a half dozen of these things. I went through the cabinets and threw them all out. I have this urge to wake my kids, shower them with hugs and kisses and apologize for letting them drink out of these cups. My poor babies! I had bought the kids a couple of the Kleen Kanteens with the sport tops. OMG I almost threw up washing the tops out. From now on it’s only clear glass for my kids.

School time

I just registered the kids for kindergarten.  I'm going to cry!  We still have a few more months yet but it is going to go so fast.

the storyteller

Ed is no longer aloud to tell the kids stories. . I mean it! I really loved his Irish pirate voice he used to use when he would read books to them. It was cute he'd start with is grandmothers brogue and it would morph into a pirate along the way. Somewhere he stopped reading and started making up his own stories. Some of them where really cute, some not so much.
I truly believe when I was reading the What to Expect the First Year baby book, Ed was studying and learning to parent from the Calvin and Hobbes comic books.

This morning Moe asked if I remembered when Daddy and I found them under a rock and brought them home to stay. Of course that started Nicole (miss knowitall) to argue with him on how they got here. I over heard her telling him that they started out as peanuts and mommy ate them and that was how they got into my belly.
